Firewall Best-Practice & AI-Readiness Review

What is actually running on your firewalls?

How many known vulnerabilities could be present in your network devices, and how quickly would your team detect them? Request a free technical review of your deployed firewall environment and its readiness for AI use.

A technical review of what is actually deployed and configured in your environment. IT policies and questionnaire answers are context, not proof that a control is implemented or working.

Why this matters

Attackers do not wait for your next maintenance window. If an update takes weeks to plan and deliver, new risks can emerge before the previous project closes. A practical response starts with reliable evidence of the versions and controls actually deployed.

We examine running versions, effective configurations and operational evidence. Your IT policies describe the intended approach. Our review checks what is actually implemented.

CVE publications are accelerating

From July 2025 through September 2026, 97,311 CVEs were published in the NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD). September 2026 recorded 14,933, compared with 4,321 in September 2025: a 245.6% increase.

Scope: all technologies and severity levels. Counts represent CVE publications, not attacks or firewall-only vulnerabilities.

Method: monthly UTC publication-date queries (pubStartDate and pubEndDate) with rejected records excluded (noRejected), using totalResults. Data retrieved October 24, 2026.

How the review works

  1. We agree on the systems, scope and evidence needed with your team.
  2. We inspect authorized technical evidence through read-only access, a guided session or current exports from the deployed platforms.
  3. We document verified observations, identify items requiring further validation and deliver prioritized recommendations with an initial update plan.

A technical review of what is actually deployed and configured in your environment. IT policies and questionnaire answers are context, not proof that a control is implemented or working.

Policies, design documents and questionnaires can provide background. Findings are based on technical evidence such as running-version details, current configuration exports, applied security profiles, platform status and relevant logs. Evidence is recorded with its date and scope. We distinguish a capability that is licensed from one that is configured, and from one whose operation has been verified within the agreed review scope.

What we review

  • Deployed software and exposure

Device models, running versions, installed hotfixes, support status and relevant vendor advisories. Applicability is checked against actual deployment conditions; a version match alone is not presented as a confirmed exploitable vulnerability.

  • Effective security configuration

Applied rules, management access, enabled security profiles, logging and available operating-state evidence.

  • Update readiness

Redundancy, high-availability status, backups, dependencies, supported upgrade paths and recovery requirements.

  • Implemented controls for AI use

Available visibility into AI applications, applied access policies, data-protection controls and audit records, including integration gaps across identity, endpoints and cloud services.

What you receive

An evidence-backed findings summary, prioritized recommendations and an initial plan for continuous updates and patching. Each finding explains what was observed, why it matters and the next action. Items that cannot be verified remain explicitly marked for further validation.

Protecting business continuity

The review itself makes no configuration changes. We plan subsequent updates around testing, backups, phased changes and rollback procedures. We use high availability and non-disruptive updates where the architecture and vendor support them. When a maintenance window is necessary, we coordinate it with your team to reduce operational impact.

Commercial scope

The initial technical review and recommendations are free. Implementation and ongoing support are scoped separately. Additional testing or production changes require a separate agreed scope and authorization.
